How cute are these I wouldn't know whether to keep them or eat them though.

Why
Why have I put so much weight on this year? & why does it get harder and harder to shift?
Why is Emin so grumpy? & why does it take a threat for me to leave for him to calm down?
Why does Daisy want to be a Dr when she is so lazy?
Why is there never anything to watch on television on a Saturday night?
Why does every job in the loft take twice as long as it should to be finished?
Why do I have to walk a dog that's not mine?
Why am I always cold?
Why does no one else put away the clean washing?
Why is it always dark?
Why have I left my Christmas shopping so late when I am having Christmas dinner with my family on Saturday?
Why haven't I even printed my Christmas card let alone written and sent them?

Michael Craig Martin

www.gagosian.com
I have always been a huge fan of Michael Craig Martin not only is he a great artist to use when teaching art, but he also never stands still technique wise, embracing the new all the time. This exhibition featuring light boxes looks brilliant. I also love image and text together so although I am not a huge fan of Kings Cross I will go as soon as possible.

Katie Clemson

Kay (Katie) Clemson, artist, teacher and sailor, born November 14 1949; died November 23 2007
Elected to the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 1992, Clemson was active within the society and sat on its council. Vigorous and energetic, always full of ideas, she had the energy and will to see them through to fruition. In 2005 she curated an exhibition at Bankside Gallery called The Artist and Radio 4. "The life of the working artist is mostly solitary. Hours are spent in concentrated, contemplative work. For years I've cut, printed and burnished to a background of Woman's Hour, plays, comedy, shipping forecasts and of course The Archers," she remarked. "All have filtered in somewhere, and although not consciously listening, I have somehow heard. I sometimes see a work of mine in a house or a gallery and can vividly recall what was playing when I was putting the third colour on, or cutting the main block."
In my recent post No Music Day I referred to artists that work whilst listening to Radio 4 because I had been to the above exhibition and enjoyed the link that bound the artists together. It was a very strong exhibition brilliantly curated. So it was a bit of a shock to see this obituary today. As so often happens with me I have a flash back and then I will read about about the same thing within the week, not deja vu exactly but weird all the same.

corrections and clarifications
The photos taken at the Blueprint Cafe Sunday lunch were taken by Leyla and Kitty not by me as could be assumed I only edited the photos to create the montage. (i don't know why but i felt a bit mean not crediting their genius with the camera)
In my Random facts post I completely forgot to mention that Girl With A Pearl Earring is one of my favourite films as well as LA Confidential which I realises takes my tally to 12 but you will have to add poor numeracy skills to my poor literacy skills.
