Melanie Rutten

I think we need a break from the holiday snaps, so have a look at this fabulous collage artist. I saw her work at an exhibition in Brussels and loved the quirky nature of her images as well as the colours she uses.

Melanie Rutten her work is on show at a lovely new gallery in Brussels called [Image]2

I feel like I have seen this work before. It is very familiar.

Like a lot of collage artists there is a feeling of Deja-vu, but I did particularly like the colours.

so exuberant! very welcome this dreary time of year.
please don't feel we ever have too much/enough of your "holiday snaps" -- your photos are never, ever just that. I love your work -- your eye for textural detail, for proportion, for colour, for certain perspectives. I love being introduced to all the artists you showcase here, but I would also be happy if the blog was only your photos!
