JOHN COPNALL
Died June 9th but has only just had his Obituary published in the Guardian. I love the structure of his early paintings as well the more colourful recent work.This statement is true to me as well as his work
"Today Copnall finds inspiration from a rather different skyscape outside his studio in Bow, East London, home for the last seventeen years. The varying circles, spirals, verticals and horizontal structures of the city skyline all converge to discover new space in his paintings"
