The colour Magnolia has such naff connotations in the world of decorating, yet the colour bears no relationship to the colour of the flower which is very subtle and very beautiful,
Oh, you're several weeks ahead of us -- I've been watching the magnolia buds swell, and looking forward to the flowers opening, but we're a ways from that yet -- thanks for the preview. One of my absolute favourites, the magnolia, although there's no room for one in my garden.
Sadly the minute some of these early birds bloom like next doors camelia they get sliced by a hard frost then soaked and blown off by 70 mile an hour winds!
