I was trying to find some Indian inspired work to show my students how to collage using warm spicy colours when i found this amazing set of collages on Flickr.

Flickr can just take away hours of your life at a time, can't it? I think I like the last image the best, with its busy background and the serene expression on the girls face. Then the middle one, with its layers of ripped wallpaper effect, the word palimpsest comes to mind (and I don't get to use that word often enough!).
I am officially ashamed as I had to look up palimpsest. Brilliant word and I will endevour to drop it into a conversation by the end of the week! And yes, I have spent many hours on Flickr, but it is an amazing help for me when I am teaching.
